Home for Christmas

Home for Christmas

Merry Christmas, church family and friends—

This morning’s post is a Christmas story titled “Home for Christmas.”It’s drawn from true events in December, 1977, recounting a pivotal season in my parents’ lives when an unexpected and challenging turn clarified what home really is—and what kind of path can actually sustain marriage, children, and community over time.

This is one story among many I’ve been collecting and writing down, with the hope of releasing them together in a book in the near future. My prayer is that it serves as a warm reminder of God’s grace and love in our lives—and of the people and friendships through whom that grace so often flows.

Until next time, I wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas. I hope these emails and writings are some small grace to you on your journey of faith, and I’m grateful that you’ve allowed me into that journey in this way.

May your holiday be filled with God’s light, peace, and abundant joy, as you spend it surrounded by His love and by those you hold dear.

With love and Christmas greetings from Rebekah and me—and all six of our kiddos,
