They That Tarrieth by the Stuff
Watch the Exodus Conference this week!
Greetings from Texas! This week the community in Waco is hosting the Exodus Conference. We are excited to welcome old and new friends from across the U.S. and across the world, eager to worship and grow closer to the Lord together.
At our service this Sunday we had many visitors from all over, as well as community members from South Africa, New Zealand, Idaho, Virginia, Wisconsin, Israel, Mexico . . . and there are more still arriving.
The conference begins Thursday, with three full days of teaching. Saturday night will be a time of music and greetings from the churches. Sunday we will gather for a picnic. It’ll be a wonderful time of reunion, sharing, and learning.
The conference will be livestreamed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. CT.
When David set out to reclaim what had been taken from him at Ziklag, he split his army into two parts: one to fight and one to stay back and guard the supplies. But he made a promise to those who stayed behind. “As his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall share alike.” (1 Samuel 30:24, KJV/NKJV)
Maybe you are one of the many brothers and sisters who didn’t make it to the conference this year. Perhaps, like a portion of David’s army, you're “tarrying with the stuff.” If you're at home caring for children while parents attend, or if financial constraints, work commitments, or family and community responsibilities kept you from joining us in person, we're thinking of you this week and we send all our love. (And we hope the livestream will be a blessing!)
May we all grow in the Lord and in unity this week—whatever place God has given us to fill in His kingdom.
Here are snapshots from a few of our communities around the U.S. and the world.
